Who We Are
Broken and Beautiful started weekly Christian services at the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic Correctional Center (WERDCC) in Vandalia in 2014. In 2022 we expanded our weekly services to the other Missouri women’s prison, Chillicothe Correctional Center (CCC). We now have over 200 women a week attending our services or classes.
Through in-prison services and classes, we develop a trusted relationship with the incarcerated women and offer guidance and counseling before release. After release, we are a continued presence in their life and have created a community of women with a similar past and a new hope for the future.
Our Program
Benefit Dinner - July 30th, 5:30 PM
Please join us for our Annual Benefit Dinner. At this special event, you’ll hear how Broken and Beautiful is bringing hope and lasting change to women in Missouri prisons—building Christ‑centered relationships that help these women grow in faith and become thriving members of their communities.
Dinner will be held at PFEM Banquet Center, 115 McMenamy Road, Saint Peters, Missouri 63376. Doors open at 5:30 p.m, dinner at 6:15.
In Prison Programs
Our services are all faith-based and include counseling, peer support, virtual and in-person groups, discipleship, and give-back opportunities. While in prison, we provide weekly services and classes to over 200 women at both Missouri women’s prisons.
Out of Prison Programs
Once released from prison, we surround the ladies with counseling, peer support, a discipleship program (Shepherd’s program), Bible Study, Christian education, and participation in a community.
